A laser does not have to shoot a drone down to stop it being effective. In many cases, it only needs to prevent the drone from seeing. What Dazzling Does to Camera Feeds

At the heart of laser dazzling is a simple problem for imaging sensors: they can process only a limited amount of incoming light. When a laser beam enters a camera lens, it concentrates a large amount of optical energy onto a small area of the detector.
