The Missing Details That Limit Conclusions
The most important feature of the 2023 demonstration is not what AFRL revealed but what it did not reveal.

These omissions matter because counter-drone performance is highly sensitive to target characteristics. Why the Demonstration Still Matters
Despite those gaps, the 2023 test remains one of the most significant public microwave counter-drone demonstrations conducted by the United States.
The value of the event lies less in the exact number of drones disabled and more in what it says about the maturity of the concept. The demonstration also helped explain why the US military continues to invest in follow-on microwave programmes.
